Looking to buy a SHO, tips and advice needed

Hey guys, this saturday I'm looking at a 1990 5 Speed SHO for sale with 104K miles. I'm pretty knowledgeable about cars but I would like to know if there are any particular issues I should look for that are SHO specific? From what I understand the cam gear/camshaft problems only apply to the 96-99 v8 cars, correct? Also, is there much of an aftermarket for these cars? From what little info I have found I can only seem to find a few aftermarket exhausts out there for the SHO. Also, are regular maintenance parts expensive or hard to find because of the different engine? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I apologize if this is a common question, I have had trouble finding info on these cars since 99% of my search info is about the 2010 SHO.
