Raced A Gtp

I hooked up with the local GP club, and on the way to one of their houses I ran a few times with a GTP that had full exhaust work, cam, roller rockers, pulley swap, PCM upgrade ect.....He runs 13's.

I am totalt stock. Probably high 14's.

We had two pulls one from 30 mph. I kept with him until 60, then he walked away pretty good.

The second run was from 10mph going around a corner.
I got a good jump, but then he again walked away, and I didn't push the "two lanes into one" issue. I wasn't looking to trade any paint ;)

Those GTP's are fast. I can't wait until my new pulley comes in.

Well I'm going from a 3.8" pulley to a 3.4". That is not a drastic change but it will give 25-30 HP.

I have also changed my thermostat, put in colder plugs, opened up the air intake, and I'll be taking out the assnine "u-bend" in the exhaust. Those minor mods should take me from 240 hp to maybe 280ish hp. Mikey nows more about my engine than I do, maybe he has a better estimate.

With a boosted car the Thermostat, and colder plugs make a pretty good performance increase due to reducing Knock. With the stock plugs and thermostat there will be knock and that retards the timing.

Not enough.

So the MBC is working pretty well? Good to hear.
You'll need it :P

That sounds about right as far as hp is concerned. It might be a little high, but who cares, the car will still be fast. You'll find that with this car you'll end up rating everything in torque instead of hp. :)

Check out the page. I have 3 catagories complete and more going in every day.

And i got my controller for free ;) ...but i still expect nacho's.

It sounds like things in Non-SHO Land are going good for you so far.I still have to rewire the fuel pump before going to 15psi,and i`m lightening it a bit.I also need to get under the car to see in the converter is a bolt on.Hopefully i can just remove it and swap in a test pipe.y exhaust is causing the boost to drop off a bit at high rpm`s,i may check into getting a system bent up.I know i`ll take you off the line no problem, the key is will i be able to hold you off until the 1/4 mile,or will you whiz past me before i get there?
